Dear Parents,

    Thank you for sharing your children with me this school year.  My belief about children, all children, is that they are capable individuals who can succeed if given the necessary tools.  The partnership between the parents and teacher is critical in this endeavor, and I value the input of each one of you.  In order to make our communications as successful as possible, I would ask the following:

1.  Please make an appointment via phone, note,  or e-mail to discuss any concerns you may have.

2.  In your message, include a brief description of your concerns.
3.  Please respect the time before and after school.  I may be tutoring a student who needs additional help.  I may have a meeting scheduled, or I may have an appointment that makes it necessary for me to leave immediately after school.  Thank you in advance for following these guidelines.

    Fifth Grade has many exciting things planned for this year.  Here is a list of important dates and events, including physical education special events and fees:

1.  Student Led Conferences (no regular school): April 24-25, 2008
2.  Camp:  May 6-9, 2007 ($195 per child; checks payable to St. Joan of Arc School)
3.  Golf will be on the following days: 4-29, 4-30, 5-1, 5-6, 5-7 and 5-8
4.  Newbery Tea:  To be announced!
