Your task will be to choose one of the characters listed below and write a journal in the voice of that character.  You must have a minimum of five journal entries in which the character discusses events that happened in the book.  The journal must show the character's feelings about what is happening.  Is the the character happy?  Sad?  Afraid?  Include why the character feels what he/she is feeling.  If you wish, include drawings or poetry that show the reader who the character is.  Here are your choices:

    The minimum requirements are as follows:

1.    A journal cover with a title and a picture.  Your name, grade and date must be located in the lower righthand corner.
2.    A minimum of five journal entries in which the character discusses events in the book.  Each journal entry must have a date.  Remember to include the character's feelings about what is happening.

    Students who do more than the minimum will, of course, stand to earn more points.  This is an opportunity to be creative while showing your understanding of the events in this book.  The choice for the the grade you receive is, as always, yours.
