- Making Moon Craters: The students made a variety of craters on their 'moon'. Large and small marbles were dropped from heights of 25 cm, 50 cm, 75 cm and 1 meter. The''craters' were measured and compared by marble size and distance of the drop.
- Lunar Olympics: How high can you jump on the moon? Lunar gravity is about one-sixth of Earth's gravity. The students measured their jump ability on Earth. Then they multiplied that distance by six. Many sports would certainly be fun to play on the moon!
- A Moon Outing: Imagine a picnic on the moon! What things would you pack? The students made a list of necessary supplies. The lack of atmosphere and the weak lunar gravity had to be taken into consideration.
