ADMISSIONS POLICY - ST. JOAN OF ARC SCHOOL
2008-2009

Parents who wish to register a child in St. Joan of Arc School
and will be new to the school must have an interview
with the pastor, Fr. David Walkowiak

An appointment can be made after registration forms have been
received by calling the parish office at 440-247-7183.

THE FOLLOWING FACTORS WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE ADMISSION:

    -Active St. Joan of Arc parishioners (see below) with other children already enrolled.  (Length of time registered in the parish will also be taken into consideration)

    -Active St. Joan of Arc parishioners.  (Length of time registered in the parish will also be taken into consideration)

    -  Catholics from parishes which do not have a Catholic school.  However, tuition will be equal to the prior year's cost per student, not including the St. Joan of Arc parish tuition aid.

    - Catholics from parishes which have a Catholic school.  However, tuition will be equal to the prior year's cost per student, not including the St. Joan of Arc tuition aid.

    -  Once the school year has begun, only those students whose families have recently moved to and registered at St. Joan of Arc parish will be considered for enrollment.

    -The Bishop's Diocesan School Policy states:  "The normal years for entrance into Catholic school are the first and ninth grades."  New 7th and 8th grade students will be admitted ONLY if they are new to the parish and have attended a Catholic school or moved from a community where Catholic education was unavailable.

    - Non-Catholics interested in a Christian education.  However, tuition will be equal to the prior year's cost per student, not including the St. Joan of Arc tuition aid.

An active St. Joan of Arc parishioner is one who is registered at the parish office, regularly attends Mass and contributes to the support of the parish.
 (at least $12.50 per week - $650. per year)
