We have a vibrant Respect Life Committee that participates in Pro-Life events and keeps parishioners aware of local and national issues. We believe in the sanctity of life from conception to the natural end of life.
We work closely with the Respect Life group at Holy Angels, hence the "Arc Angels for Life", so feel free to contact us at either parish.
Please continue to check this page as we have plans to continually add new information that will be of interest to you.

LIFE ISSUES:
Bioethics:
Dr. Andrew Trew, a parishioner of St. Joans and a Professor of Bioethics at St. Mary Seminary and John Carroll, presented a three part series on bioethics and living our Catholic faith in today's world during the month of October 2008. The talks were very well attended (approximately 80 people) and we are very grateful to Dr. Trew and all the volunteers who made this opportunity possible! Copies of Dr. Trew's slide presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint), can be downloaded. Please follow this link.
"Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA)":
This proposed, so called, "Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), will wipe out most, if not all gains made by Pro-Life folks since 1973. Among other things it would allow third trimester abortions and partial birth abortions, delete the need of parental consent for pregnant children under a given age, and other evil practices. More information here.
Please help block this proposed bill by writing your Congressmen and Senators.
